Remarkable and ingenious people and projects may be brought forward from the archive. In 1999, I joined the publishing house Grütter and met there Franz Josef Gruber, who led his self-founded EuroLaser as editor-in-chief. His extraordinary expertise and his reputation among the little ones and the greats of the then emerging industry of industrial laser manufacturing was undisputed. With a little break we worked together for 10 years before he died unexpectedly fast in 2009. One of his great achievements was to be happy to contribute creative ventures in editorial design.
